EB games and Gamestop print outs both had a placeholder date for August 2, 2012.

You can't believe anything Gamestop or any of their sister stores say. They'll put a date on anything if they think it'll make 'em a few dollars.

E3 is in June. During their conference, they'll likely dish out the 3DS announcements and release dates first during the conference, and then dedicate the rest of the show to blowing minds with the Wii U.

Well atleast it gives abit of hope.
E3 has announced AC3DS before though.
Check their records, It started in 2010.
Let's hope for an actually release date and new information.

True.

Wild World was announced at E3 2004 but didn't launch until December 2005. AC3D is late if you compare it to that, but then games are much harder/take longer to develop and cost way more than they did a half a decade ago, so it shouldn't really be all that much of a surprise that we still don't have the game.

I understand that.
I'm just getting abit anxious now.
I tend to have panic attacks if something I've waited to happen doesn't happen.

At first I was a bit grumbly about the fact they've changed the body shape of the characters in this, but I suppose it's worth it if you can properly customise your character's bottom half. And the change may make proceedings look a teensy bit fresher.

I understand where you are coming from.
I like the AC character from CityFolk and older games but I like being able to change the pants/skirts appearance.

Yep. Fortunately we'll still have that style available in the old games, and if there's one series that needs fresh ideas, it's Animal Crossing.

Anyway, I'll be happy with the game when it does come out.

There is an Nintendo Direct thing today!
It's suppose to be from Japan so maybe it'll have AC3DS information in it.
For me it'll be on around 11pm, I live in Pennsylvania in the USA.
So if you live outside my timezone add/sudtract hours based on you time difference.

As I was typing this, Nintendo Direct is broadcasting live in Japan and is featuring Animal Crossing 3DS and many other amazing Nintendo games.

In a few minutes, Nintendo Europe will also air its Nintendo Direct feed. Hoping for more news
